Installation & First Campaign

Welcome to ViralMarketingWP, a powerful WordPress plugin that helps you create viral marketing campaigns and referral programs with reward tiers. This guide will walk you through the basics of setting up your first campaign.

Installation

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
2. Go to Plugins > Add New
3. Click on the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page
4. Click Choose File and select the ViralMarketingWP zip file
5. Click Install Now and then Activate Plugin

Once activated, you’ll see a new ViralMarketingWP menu item in your WordPress admin sidebar.

Creating Your First Campaign

Follow these steps to create your first viral marketing campaign:

1. In your WordPress admin, go to ViralMarketingWP > Campaigns
2. Click Add New to create a new campaign
3. Enter a title for your campaign
4. Fill in the campaign details:
   • Campaign Description: Explain what your campaign is about and what participants can expect
   • Campaign Dates: Set optional start and end dates
   • Form Fields: Select which fields to display in your opt-in form (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone)
   • Rewards: Add tiered rewards that participants can unlock by referring friends

Setting Up Rewards

Rewards are what motivate participants to share your campaign. To add rewards:

1. In the Rewards section of the campaign editor, add a title and description for each reward
2. Set the number of referrals required to unlock each reward
3. Use the Add Reward Level button to create multiple reward tiers
4. Click Update or Publish to save your campaign

Adding the Campaign to Your Website

Once you’ve created your campaign, you can add it to any page or post using a shortcode:

1. From the campaign edit screen, copy the shortcode shown in the Shortcode box (it will look like

   Campaign not found.

   )
2. Edit the page or post where you want the campaign to appear
3. Paste the shortcode into the content editor
4. Update or publish the page

Visitors will now see your campaign form and can sign up. After signing up, they’ll receive a unique referral link to share with friends.

Dashboard Overview

The ViralMarketingWP dashboard provides an overview of your campaigns’ performance:

• Overview: Shows key metrics like total campaigns, leads, referrals, and page views
• Recent Leads: Displays the most recent sign-ups
• Top Performing Campaigns: Shows your best campaigns based on conversion rates

To access the dashboard, go to ViralMarketingWP > Dashboard in your admin menu.
